The following facilities are available at the Main Campus Library:


Student lockers are available on Level 5 Main Campus Library. The rental fee is RM1.00 per day.

Please enquire at the Circulation Desk if you wish to obtain a locker key. Fines for late return of key are RM1.00 per day and RM5.00 for lost key.

The following rules apply:

1. The assignee will be responsible for any damage to the locker charged out to his/her name.

2. Lockers may not be used to store any food items and uncharged library books.

3. The University Library maintains the right to check a locker for any reason it deems necessary and to library material that are not checked out.

4. The Library takes no responsibility for material lost, stolen or damaged while stored in lockers.

5. Locker keys must be returned once the usage period is over, in person to the Circulation Desk of the Library.

6. Violation of these rules may result in suspension of privileges.

Discussion Rooms

There are three discussion rooms located on Level 6 of the Main Library for students' group work. Requests to use these rooms should be made at the Circulation Desk on Level 5.

The following rules apply:

1. Rooms are signed out for 2-hour intervals. If, at the end of that interval the group wishes to stay for a longer period, their request will be granted provided that another group is not waiting for the room.

2. The group should consist of 4-6 people for Discussion Rooms 1 and 2 and 6-10 people for Discussion Room 3.

3. The Main Library will accept advance bookings requested in person, over the phone [604-2180159] or by email to Please note that bookings are lost if the room is not occupied within 15 minutes of the booked start time

4. A Circulation staff member will retain the WOU ID of the designated Key Holder until the key has been returned. As the Key Holder, this person will be responsible for the condition of the room. Please ensure that the room is left in the same condition that it was found upon arrival. Any vandalism should be reported to the Circulation Desk staff as soon as possible.

5. Fines for late return of key are RM1.00 per day and RM5.00 for lost key. The Key Holder will be responsible for this fine.

6. It is the responsibility of the Key Holder to lock the room before returning the key to the Circulation Desk.
