Summary

Section 4.4 demonstrates the power of visualisation in presenting difficult and sometimes abstract concepts in science. The cell is a microscopic unit of life and it presents challenges to students in the way it functions. The visual helps learning by taking a function, and walking the learner through that function through the lens of a highly sophisticated microscope. The visual about the atom is about describing an ultra microscopic particle, which is the fundamental unit of all matter: one cannot see the atom but it is all around us. The story in the simulations illustrates both the power and the structure of this small particle. Finally, the visualisation of Einstein's theory of relativity is an attempt to explain a difficult abstract in physics.
